The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. It calls on volunteers of all ages to become champions in the fight against Alzheimer's. 2-1-1 is a phone number that connects the public to a local agency that can provide information about
services, as well as refer callers to appropriate programs to meet their needs. They can also be reached

Area Agencies on Aging
Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) were established under the Older Americans Act (OAA) in 1973 to respond to the
needs of Americans aged 60 and over in every local community. These agencies provide security to family
members of all ages who know that their loved one's choices and preferences will be given the highest
priority. Area Agencies on Aging can provide comprehensive planning for seniors and advocacy for seniors.

Upstart Crow Theater Company is a Colorado not-for-profit corporation that performs classic plays by
playwrights such as Shakespeare, Arthur Miller, and George Bernard Shaw, among others. Because of the plays

Help Line from The Eldercare Network
The Eldercare Network of Larimer County supports aging families as they navigate through uncharted territory
of aging, care giving, and illness with a Help Line. A committee manages the Help Line, which can be reached
at 970-495-3442. Members of the community can call for information and referral and are guided to the most

Ombudsman Monitoring Program
Residents of long term care facilities have specific rights protected by state and federal regulations. An
Ombudsman is an advocate for these rights. The Ombudsman Monitoring Program investigates complaints
regarding nursing homes and assisted living facilities. They also can act as a mediator for residents and
