This year the theme of “Storytelling: Craft and Connection” because this accurately reflects the speakers and workshops that will be featured. The event features world-renown storyteller Elizabeth Ellis. This event and the workshops deal with the craft of storytelling – the skill-based aspects of storytelling or on making a connection and connecting with others using storytelling. The conference is designed to fit the needs of everyone from parents who want to find new ways to connect deeply with their children, to teachers looking for innovative and fun ways to make their lesson 'stick,' to veteran professional storytellers who are always polishing their skills. There will be 3 workshop tracks to cater to different audiences: Organizational Storytelling – Profit and Non-Profit, Storytelling in Educational Settings and Weaving Family Connections. The Centenarian Celebration is an annual event of the Colorado Commission on Aging to celebrate the lives of Centenarians across the State, recognize their individual century of achievement, and focus the attention of all Coloradans on the political and social issues of aging. This year the event will be held May 30, 2014 in Fort Collins, Colorado.
