Balfour Senior Living provides a full continuum of care for older adults from independent living at The Lodge and The Residences communities, assisted living at The Villa, skilled healthcare and Alzheimer’s care at The Wellshire and The Reserve. The Balfour campus is carefully planned and a locally owned retirement community located between the Boulder and Denver metro areas in Louisville, Colorado. Balfour’s continuum of care services are designed so that individuals can remain within the Balfour campus, as needs change, without compromising safety or comfort. We also offer luxurious one-bedroom suites on a nightly basis.

The Residences at Balfour
The newest, most complete expression yet of the Balfour approach is The Residences. These spacious one-bedroom independent living apartments feature a variety of upscale finishes and the latest appliances. Elegant bathrooms include frameless glass shower doors and marble sinks. Every detail is designed for ultimate comfort including options of a private deck or patio and many apartments with a den. We also offer our suites on a nightly basis. When you enter The Residences, the magnificent furnishings and expansive public spaces immediately are striking. A sumptuous library invites you to settle in with your favorite book before the fireplace. Large living areas offer numerous places for conversation and enjoyment.

About The Lodge Apartments
The apartments are large and well lit, with walk-in closets and full kitchens equipped with the latest Whirlpool appliances: dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, modern cook-top and stove, microwave oven, and installed washer and dryer. Nearly half the apartments have patios or balconies. In addition to the many varied apartments, there are a limited number of spacious two-bedroom cottages, with large living room fireplaces, one-car garages, and private patios.- “Experience the Good Life!”
While you can cook your own meals at The Lodge, you may have little motivation to do so. With our state-of-the-art gourmet kitchen and renowned chefs, you will enjoy dining at its finest. Eat virtually anytime in the Aspen Grill, the perfect place for light meals, soups, sandwiches and snacks for you and your guests. More formal lunches and dinners are served daily in the Telluride Dining Room, featuring a healthy variety of wonderful meals. In addition, a continental breakfast is served every morning.

Skilled Nursing Care at Balfour — The Wellshire
The main difference at The Wellshire when all is said and done is the capable, caring highly trained staff whose goal is to provide a level of service unparalleled in skilled nursing care. Licensed nursing staff is on duty 24 hours a day. Our residents are individuals first and foremost, their fulfillment and peace of mind is our prime concern.
The Wellshire health care residences (skilled nursing units); maintain the same residential feeling as our assisted living facility, with specific attention to the added level of care the residents require. Our structured activity program is full of enjoyable opportunities, and is tailored toward sensory stimulation, as well as therapeutic and cognitive experiences. Live and pre-recorded music, reading, dancing, cooking, current events, puzzles and movies provide residents with plenty of activities and communal involvement.
At the Wellshire numerous choices are available, with particular emphasis on special diets geared to the medical needs of each resident. Memory Care at Balfour (Early to Mid-Stage) — Cherrywood Village
Cherrywood Village is among a new generation of communities with specifically designed facilities and programs to address the needs of residents with Alzheimer’s disease and memory loss. We offer a full continuum of care from early and mid-stage programs at our Cherrywood Village residence to a full-skilled nursing program for more intense care at The Reserve.

At Cherrywood Village, the residential building is specially designed with a central “town square.” Amenities include living rooms and family-style dining rooms, as well as country kitchens for supervised baking, small libraries for relaxation, and laundry rooms to allow residents to participate in familiar and comforting tasks. - Memory Care at Balfour (Mid to Late-Stage) — The Reserve
Located on the Balfour Retirement Community campus, The Reserve offers care and activities appropriate to residents with late-stage Alzheimer’s disease. Residents participate in activities that provide sensory stimulation and encourage use of skills and family members are encouraged to take part in activities and help develop the plan of care.
