Information and Assistance Program from GNAAD
Greater Nashville Area Agency on Aging & Disability (GNAAD) provides older adults with information, assessment and referral to community resources. All information specialists are trained and certified in their particular area of expertise. For assistance call 615-255-1010 or Toll-free from outside the Metro Calling Area 1-877-973-6467. Medicare Prescription Drug Plan
You can join a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan in the following ways: By paper application: Contact the company offering the drug plan you choose and ask for an application. Once you fill out the form, mail or fax it back to the company. On the plan's website: Visit the drug plan company's website. You may be able to join online. On the www.medicare.gov website: You will also be able to join a drug plan at the Medicare website by using Medicare's online enrollment center. Nashville MTA AccessRide
The Metropolitan Transit Authority's AccessRide program is a publicly funded Para transit service, which operates specialized van services for persons with disabilities who are unable to use regular fixed-route buses. AccessRide provides door-to-door Para transit service within Davidson County 1.5 miles from a regular bus route, excluding commuter or express service. Visit their website for more information.

Public Guardianship Program
Area Agency on Aging & Disabilities offers a Public Guardian Program. The organization acts as Conservator for individuals over age 60 who are unable to manage their own affairs and have no one willing and able to do this for them. Fee is set according to the person's income. They are located at 501 Union St., 6th Floor, Nashville and can be reached at 615-862-8828.
Retirement Learning at Vanderbilt
Since 1995 Vanderbilt University has had a retirement learning program that consists of college level type classes on a variety of subjects geared for older adults. You don't' have to be a college graduate, have a connection with the university and the program is for all ages of adults. There is a charge for classes.

Senior Transport Partners Provides Transportation
Senior Transport Partners provides volunteer, escorted transportation to medically related appointments to seniors living in Williamson County, Tennessee. This program is part of Grace Works Ministries and the service is for seniors who are at least 55 years old. Seniors using this service must be ambulatory and 72 hour notice is required.
