HandsOn South Alabama Merges with United Way
Mobile, Alabama - As of May 1, 2013, HandsOn South Alabama (HOSA) will be operated and managed by the United Way of Southwest Alabama (UWSWA). This will merge two of the premiere volunteer oriented nonprofits in the area. HOSA will physically relocate to the UWSWA office during the first two weeks of May. “The United Way’s motto of Live United encourages people to give, volunteer and advocate. By coming together, our joint efforts will enhance the volunteer aspect and outreach of both organizations,” stated Allen Ladd, Chairman of the UWSWA’s Board of Trustees. “We ask our nonprofit partners to look for ways to collaborate and work together. This is a perfect partnership that will benefit the entire community.”

The show includes featured quilt artist Carol Thompson (Fairhope) and her "Quilts from Art." The event includes quilting demonstrations, quilt vendors, a variety of boutiques and a quilters auction.
