Denver Senior Events

This calendar lists events for seniors, boomers, older adults and family caregivers living in the greater Denver metro area. Many of the events feature companies and non-profit organizations presenting information to educate and inform seniors and their families on resources available in the community. Occasionally we include other events from the Colorado Front Range.

Free Healthier Living Colorado Class
Where: St. Anthonys Golden Neighborhood Health Center, 750 Warner Dr, Golden, CO (map)
This is a free program to help people deal with the challenges of living with an ongoing health condition such as heart disease, a lung condition, diabetes or arthritis. Classes will be held on Wednesdays from April 13th through May 18th from 1:30 - 4:00PM at St. Anthony’s Golden Neighborhood Health Center in Golden. The six-week class is open to the community. A $10 registration fee is due at the first class and refunded upon attending at least four of the six classes. Free National Diabetes Prevention Program
Where: Daniels Fund, 101 Monroe St., Denver, CO (map)
If you have pre-diabetes or other risk factors for type 2 diabetes, it is time to take charge of your health. A free National Diabetes Prevention Program class will be held on Thursdays from March 10, 2016 through March 8, 2017. The class meets for 16 weekly sessions followed by six monthly sessions from 6 - 7 p.m. at the Daniels Fund, 101 Monroe St. in Denver. The National Diabetes Prevention Program, led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), utilizes lifestyle change intervention to reduce your risk of type 2 diabetes. Blue Star Weekend
