Denver Senior Events

This calendar lists events for seniors, boomers, older adults and family caregivers living in the greater Denver metro area. Many of the events feature companies and non-profit organizations presenting information to educate and inform seniors and their families on resources available in the community. Occasionally we include other events from the Colorado Front Range.

Free Healthier Living Colorado
Where: Shalom Park Senior Residences, 14800 E. Belleview Dr., Aurora, CO (map)
This is a program to help people deal with the challenges of living with an ongoing health condition such as heart disease, a lung condition, diabetes or arthritis. Classes will be held on Tuesdays from July 7 to August 11 at Shalom Park Senior Residences, 14800 E. Belleview Dr. in Aurora. The free six-week class meets from 1PM to 3:30PM and is open to the community. Healthier Living Colorado™ is the chronic disease self-management program developed at Stanford University. Whatever the diagnosis, this class teaches and supports participants in making better choices and practicing self-management. The hope of the Death Cafe movement is to simply normalize this phase of life by allowing groups of people to talk about death.
