Health S.E.T.'s 20th Anniversary Celebration. Celebrating 20 years of compassionate service for low-income elderly people. This will be a truly fun evening of cocktails (cash bar), dinner and entertainment by MaDcap Improv.

The Olympic Games, born of diplomatic and political design, have always played an important role in international politics. The Olympics provide a stage for both international cooperation and peaceful competition, as well as international conflict and confrontation. Join Active Minds as we explore the rich history of the Olympic Games and how the games have been involved in a variety of international political issues, including the current ones that surround the Beijing Olympics.

The Future of Pakistan
Formed in 1947 by partitioning what was then British India, Pakistan has a brief, but colorful history characterized by periods of growth, instability, and regional conflict. In 1999, General Pervez Musharraf seized power in a military coup, and was later elected President in a process that many denounced. With the world's second largest Muslim population, internal strife intensified as Musharraf aligned with the United States in the wake of 9/11. Join us as we explore the seeds of the current situation and describe the ongoing political struggle in this important country.

As we approach the 2008 Summer games in Beijing, join Active Minds for a look at how the issue of China's human rights record is playing out on the international stage. As Denver hosts the Democratic Convention, join Active Minds for a historical look at the convention process. We will cover how the original process (Congressional Caucuses) gave way to conventions and how conventions evolved with the advent of primaries and caucuses prior to the convention. We will also highlight some noteworthy conventions such as the 1968 Chicago Democratic Convention and the 1976 Republican Convention in which Gerald Ford faced a challenge from an upstart named Ronald Reagan.

Global Warming

In October of 2001, the U.S. led a coalition invasion of Afghanistan seeking to oust the ruling Taliban and find Al Qaeda leaders, including Osama bin Laden. We will also take a look forward at what the future hold for this war-torn country.

America's Pastime: Baseball!
A brief history and selected stories from the game of baseball. Join Active Minds as we trace the history of baseball from Abner Doubleday to Barry Bonds. We will tell a few of the legendary stories of the game, including the Merkle Incident, the 1919 Chicago Black Sox, the Curse of the Bambino, and others. We will discuss Jackie Robinson and the role of the Negro Leagues as well as how the modern era has been affected by the use of steroids. group program. Coordinate services to early/young onset people

nursing, gerontology, psychology or related field. Previous experience
working with support groups, counseling skills, developing and
presenting education seminars, public speaking, computer skills.
