Assured Assisted Living Homes are Specialty Memory Care Homes designed to meet the physical and emotional needs of residents with memory impairments, while providing peace of mind and ongoing support to their families.
Our residential care focuses on Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's, stroke and other dementia related diseases that result in memory loss. We provide programs and services utilizing the latest knowledge and techniques, that adapt to the changing behavioral and communication needs which occur with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.
At Assured Assisted Living we are committed to helping your loved one achieve the highest level of functioning possible while enhancing the quality of their lives, which is achieved by careful monitoring, social stimulation, dietary observation, and a supportive environment that emphasizes life purpose.
Your loved one will benefit directly from Assured Assisted Living's high caregiver-to-resident ratio, composed of a trained and experienced team in memory impairment, with special skills in the area of behavioral interventions. In addition, we will prepare a personalized care plan that builds on your loved one's strengths, enhances positive self-image, and promotes autonomy to make each day a meaningful experience.
Assured Assisted Living offers a full range of services carefully planned to provide a supportive environment for residents with dementia. These services are all-inclusive in the monthly fee. There are no itemized extra costs or rate increases for 12 months.

About Our Company
Assured Assisted Living is owner operated by husband and wife team, Sheryl A. Thompson, R.N., CMIS-I, President and CEO, along with Vice-President John A. Thompson. Their professional history with seniors includes being co-founders and managing members of Assured Horizons Eldercare and Assured Horizons, LLC; The largest company in Orange County California offering 14 residential care facilities for Alzheimer's and medically frail seniors in since 1995.
After several trips to Colorado visiting the homes of Sheryl's Mother, Father, Maternal Grandparents and Great Grandparents in Denver and Colorado Springs, the Thompson's fell in love with the beauty and friendliness of Colorado and decided to make Colorado their home.
- About Sheryl Thompson
Sheryl Thompson, R.N., CMIS-I is dedicated full time to making Assured Assisted Living the best Memory Care facility in our region. She visits every prospective resident prior to moving in to begin the assessment and care planning process. Reviewing the cognitive skills of each resident allows for the development of a customized program that provides the structure and support to meet individual needs. She will also assist and advise residents and family members as they struggle with difficult long-term care issues. In addition, Sheryl will also be managing the day-to-day operations of the facilities by providing ongoing monitoring of our residents and supportive oversight to our Care Specialists. Sheryl's Registered Nurse involvement means Assured Assisted Living staff receives the direct guidance needed in safely assisting our residents living with chronic illness, disability or memory loss. - Our Care Specialists
We are proud of the great employees who work for Assured Assisted Living. Our Care Specialists are totally committed, highly qualified and carefully selected individuals who possess a heart for service, especially for those with some form of dementia. In addition to their previous experience, our Care Specialists receive initial training that includes a specialized curriculum leading to national recognition as a Certified Memory Impairment Specialist (CMIS). The core of the program consists of five modules: Introduction to Memory Impairments, Behaviors, Communications, Activities of Daily Living, and Living Environment.

Our services include 24-hour protective supervision, a supportive residential environment, and trained Care Specialists to address the behaviors and needs of our residents with compassion, expertise and professionalism.
- Home Environment
Most professionals agree that memory impaired individuals function better when they live in a smaller environment with a familiar group of people. As a result, we refuse to have "home-like" facilities. We have real homes in real neighborhoods similar to the ones our residents have lived in their entire lives. Our tranquil, secure home environment encourages feelings of security, freedom and self-control, which may help to reduce the use of medications, thereby enhancing the life of our residents. - Social, Cognitive and Physical Stimulation
Assured Assisted Living offers a diverse range of activities, which stimulate social, cognitive and physical abilities utilizing the latest techniques designed for those with special memory care needs. This innovative program provides structure and routine needed to ensure feelings of security and certainty in day-to-day life. Therapeutic activities program includes music, exercise, arts and crafts, gardening, resident pets and reminiscing, along with supervised family-life experiences, such as setting the table or folding laundry. - Family Participation and Support
At Assured Assisted Living we know that Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia affect the entire family. That is why we take special care offering support to the resident's family through a variety of services such as our Family Resource Library, regular support group meetings and. our active volunteer program. We are passionate about providing the best possible care for each of our residents. We believe that an active partnership with families serves as the foundation providing individualized care for their loved one.
