Non-Partisan "Senior Lobby" Training Class from Colorado Senior Lobby

On December 9th at 9:30 Colorado Senior Lobby (CSL) will have a Non-Partisan "Senior Lobby" Training and Orientation Program. All CSL members and non-members are welcome and can participate. This training class will involve how to communicate with your legislators and their staff. It will also review the procedures for testifying at a committee hearing. One of the services provided by the Senior Lobby is to assist anyone who wants to testify, including accompanying them to the hearing room. Questions? Parking: The Volunteers of America (VOA) building is at Larimer and 27th Street. There is street parking and parking in the VOA parking lot accessed off of 27th just east of the building.

Colorado Gives Day 2013
On December 10th starting at 12:00AM and for 24 hours you can participate in Colorado Gives Day. Last year, Coloradans made an astonishing show of support for local nonprofits by donating $15.4 million in just 24 hours. A total of $15.7 million was distributed to the nonprofits, thanks to additional contributions from the FirstBank Incentive Fund and 36 cash prizes. Colorado Springs Fire Department's File of Life Program
File of Life is designed to provide important medical history, current medications, resuscitation requests and emergency contact information to First Responders. It consists of a highly visible magnetic folder designed for placement on a refrigerator and comes with a mini-version for a wallet, car, suitcase or other easily accessible location.
