Nearly two-and-a-half years after its initial ground breaking, the Encounter Africa’s state-of-the-art exhibit at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is complete. On May 3, 2013 at 10:00AM the exhibit is ready for its official opening. Prior to the ribbon cutting, brief remarks will be made by Bob Chastain, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo President and CEO as well as other key donors. Join us for this monumental opening.

Territory Days in Colorado Springs
Location: Colorado Avenue in Old Colorado City
The Colorado Springs Territory Days event is held every Memorial Day weekend in historic Old Colorado City located on the west side of town. This is the 38th annual Territory Days and will feature food and craft booths, live music, a kids’ play area and petting zoo and more. The event includes Native American dancers, wild west gunfight re-enactments and black smith demonstrations. This event has free admission!

Colorado Farmers' Markets & Other Local Produce- Locate Markets Across the State
The Colorado Department of Agriculture assists Colorado food and agricultural companies to sell their products in local (Colorado Proud), regional, national and international markets. The agency collects livestock and produce market news from around the state, oversees nine market orders, grades and inspects fruits and vegetables and helps promote Colorado wines through the Colorado Wine Board. Colorado Springs Fire Department's File of Life Program
File of Life is designed to provide important medical history, current medications, resuscitation requests and emergency contact information to First Responders. It consists of a highly visible magnetic folder designed for placement on a refrigerator and comes with a mini-version for a wallet, car, suitcase or other easily accessible location. Cards can be picked up at the Fire Department Complex, 375 Printers Parkway, or by calling 719-385-5950. Available to Colorado Springs citizens only. Sponsorship opportunities available.
