Over two years ago, Columbine Health Systems purchased an out of use grocery store that was adjacent to our 26-acre campus in Fort Collins. We felt it was extremely important to develop a club whereby health promotion and wellness could be encouraged for the seniors we care for within our System, our employees and their families, and the greater community.
The Lifestyle Centre at Columbine Health Systems is dedicated to offering seniors a comprehensive wellness program that encourages a life long commitment to a healthy lifestyle and provides the means necessary to improve overall health and well being.
Our friendly facility includes strength equipment, cardio equipment, free weights, and group fitness classes. We offer a variety of senior classes including Senior Seated Strength, Senior Balance & Mobility, and Senior Yoga. Many seniors also enjoy our Pilates class. We set ourselves apart by providing one-on-one attention and exceptional customer service.
Market Centre Therapy Services is located within the Lifestyle Centre. Clients receiving Physical Therapy and/or Occupational Therapy on an outpatient basis use the equipment in the Lifestyle Centre under the direction of their therapist. As their rehabilitation is moving forward and they are nearly ready to "graduate" from therapy, the staff at the Lifestyle Centre gets involved. They are able to develop an ongoing program to maintain and continue the improvements clients have made in the formal therapy program.
Residents of our two independent living facilities on our Fort Collins Campus, The Worthington and The Winslow, have free membership to the Lifestyle Centre included in their monthly rent. Our fleet transportation service of 14 vans and buses provides free rides to and from the Lifestyle Centre.
