Caring for a loved one is hard work. Without help, it can oftentimes cause injury, illness, or worse. In fact, a loved one can be prematurely placed in a congregate living facility because they or their family is unaware of other options. However, you do a have an option ...an affordable option. Throughout our lives we need to constantly re-evaluate the areas where we might need assistance. We seek out different services as a result of changes in our lives. Changes in health, and yes, as a result of our decreased ability to do for our selves, changes in our living conditions. Typically, these services must be sought in many different places which can be time-consuming, confusing, and simply overwhelming.
The Senior Hub offers a continuum-of-care geared to provide just such options to support older community members who wish to continue living independently. The Senior Hub is a non-profit organization serving the North and East metro area with numerous solutions in one place. Trained and insured caregivers can come to your home to either relieve a caregiver or care for the frail older adult who lives alone. Housekeeping services may be available or nutritious daily meal delivery could complete that circle of care.
The Senior Hub also recognizes the need for ongoing socialization. To meet the need they have expanded their continuum-of-care to include a Medicaid certified, Adult Day Center which offers a social setting and activities to the older adult, while also providing respite for the family caregiver. With the help of The Senior Hub and its caring staff, a senior's needs can be evaluated and an effective care plan developed to provide the services that will help them to maintain their independence.
The Senior Hub can provide that continuum-of-care at affordable rates. The Senior Hub is funded through city and state programs as well as The Older Americans Act, Family Caregiver Support, and the Older Coloradoans Fund. Local foundations also provide generous support on behalf of seniors wishing to remain independent and self reliant. Additionally, the extensive support of volunteers makes it possible for The Senior Hub to reach thousands of people each year who need assistance.
DON'T WAIT. The best way to care for a loved one is by getting the help they need NOW. Don't let financial limitations prevent you from getting the help you need TODAY.
