Gentle Touch Animal Hospital offers a fully equipped 24 foot mobile hospital that is a wonderful extension of
our state of the art hospital facility. We realize that it is not possible for everyone to drive to a hospital
to have their beloved furry friends seen by a veterinarian. This is why we decided to expand our hospital by
adding mobile services. We provide medical care to pets within the Denver Metro Area. We will come to your home
or place of business Monday through Fri-day. The mobile unit is fully equipped with the necessary equipment and
supplies to provide the following services:
Wellness Examinations:
It is extremely important that all animals receive an annual examination in order to assess their health status.
During this examination, we perform a complete physical examination in order to evaluate all body systems. We
pay particular attention to the mouth so that we can make recommendations concerning dental care. We also
evaluate the weight and make diet recommendations when needed. In addition, we assess vaccination needs, perform
annual fecal examinations to check for intestinal parasites (some of which are contagious to people), provide
heartworm testing and medication, and make recommendations concerning annual laboratory testing if needed.
Out Patient Medical Care:
We are able to provide diagnostics and treatments for such diseases as upper respiratory infections, urinary
tract disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, metabolic disorders such as liver and kidney disease, and endocrine
disorders such as thyroid disease and diabetes. We can perform some diagnostic tests on the mobile unit,
however, more extensive tests are sent to an outside lab and the results are received within 24 to 48 hours.
Surgical Services:
We can perform surgeries such as feline spays, neuters and declaws, canine neuters, abscess repairs, laceration
repairs and removal of minor growths. More extensive surgeries would require transport to out hospital facility.
Dentistry:
We think dental care is one of the most neglected areas of health care for pets. We are very proactive in our
recommendations because we know that dental disease can lead to other illnesses such as heart disease, kidney
disease and severe oral infections. Over 50% of animals require some form of dental care. The mobile unit is
equipped to provide dental cleanings under anesthesia, as well as oral surgery when needed. We provide pre
anesthetic blood panels, intravenous fluid therapy, anesthetic monitoring and aggressive pain management in
order to ensure a speedy and pain free recovery. We also discuss dental home care when needed.
Euthanasias:
Unfortunately, we all know that our furry friends will not live as long we would like. We are able to come to
your home and provide a quiet environment for you and your pet. We know this is the most difficult decision a
pet owner can make, and we try to make the situation as easy as possible.
In addition to the above services, we also offer pick up and drop off services for those pets that require
more extensive medical or surgical treatments in hospital. We encourage you to call the clinic if you have any
questions regarding the mobile facility or the hospital facility. |
