Hypnotherapy is the clinical term for Hypnosis used for change and self-improvement. Hypnosis is as old as
recorded history; it is being used more and more in clinics and hospitals to help people communicate better,
overcome physical and emotional problems. Often in a single one-hour session people have stopped smoking,
improved golfing games, learned to handle stress, improved memory and study skills or begun effective and
lasting weight control.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a state of inward focused concentration. It can be referred to as a trance or an altered state of
consciousness. When the mind is focused, people are better able to use their inner resources to make personal
changes in their lives. Although they may not recognize it, everyone has experienced a trance-like hypnotic
state. For example if you've ever been absorbed in thought or reading a good book, and you failed to hear
someone talking to you, then you were in a trance-like hypnotic state. Have you ever been driving down the road
and noticed that you passed your exit or missed your turn? For some reason you bypassed the very place you were
looking for! That's a trance called "highway hypnosis". Another common example is if you are in a
movie theatre and you become so absorbed in the movie that you forget that there are people sitting all around
you - this is another example of a trance-like state. So hypnosis is in very simple terms very deliberate and
concentrated focus.
What is clinical hypnotherapy?
Clinical hypnotherapy is different from a trance-like hypnosis state because it is a guided program with a
trained professional helping a person deal with a specific goal of weight loss, stopping road rage, stopping
smoking, relaxation, building confidence, improving self-image, and other timely self-improvement goals.
What is Rindner Hypnosis?
Lee's extraordinary voice, along with his experience of unique combining of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP),
Self Hypnosis, Psycho-Cybernetics and Positive Self-Talk actually leads to his approach being called Rindner
Hypnosis. Often in a single one-hour session people have stopped smoking, improved golfing games, learned to
handle stress, improved memory and study skills or begun effective and lasting weight control with his approach.
Why is hypnosis effective?
Hypnosis is effective because it works directly with the subconscious mind. With hypnosis, the subconscious mind
views situations objectively, without rationalizations or excuses from the conscious mind. Through objective and
guided understanding, the subconscious mind is able to change and improve patterns of behaviors.
What about those hypnosis shows you see on television? Are they real?
The shows you see on television are real. If you and your group are looking for entertainment, Lee G. Rindner
can create an unforgettable evening. Shows are different than therapy sessions. People who got on the stage want
to "let loose" and have fun and they will only do things that they would do in their normal waking
state.
