Forever Stamp from the United States Post OfficeWritten by SeniorsResourceGuide.com Staff The United States Post Office has developed the new The Forever Stamp. This stamp will better serve customers and ease the transition for purchasing stamps when prices change. The Forever Stamp will be good for mailing a typical 1 ounce First Class Letter forever, regardless of future price increases. To ensure customers have an adequate supply of stamps before the May 14th price change, The Forever Stamp is going on sale at 41 cents on April 12th. Beyond that date the Forever Stamp will always sell at the existing First Class price. The Forever Stamp Design The Forever Stamp design depicts the Liberty Bell. This is one of the nation's most prominent band timeless symbols associated with American Independence. Over the years, the historic significance of the Liberty Bells' message has transcended our national borders and become an international symbol of freedom. Beginning April 12th the Forever Stamp will be available in booklets of 20 through local post offices and online at www.usps.com. As this time there are no plans to limit the purchase of the Forever Stamp prior to the May 14th price change date.
