I imagine that many of you often are posed with the question of "should I get my diabetic supplies from the pharmacy or should I use a specialty mail order service?" In this day and age, companies are coming up with more effective ways to reach their consumers and offer them better service. Mail Order does just that. What are the benefits of Mail Order versus the Pharmacy?

Benefits of Mail Order:

Home Delivery Specialized Products

No Waiting in Lines Product Education

No Out of Pocket Costs Insurance billed for you

Warranty on Products Products always in stock

Scheduled Quarterly Delivery Free Shipping

As you can see, there are many benefits to Mail Order. In a pharmacy setting, the reality is that most pharmacists will not be able to assist you with product information, they are there to fill prescriptions and they do not specialize in diabetic supplies. If you are on insurance, chances are your coverage will only allow one meter every 5 years, what happens if you break your meter? Mail order companies will usually provide you a meter free of charge or work with your insurance to get your meter covered. A pharmacy is going to charge you for that meter, usually $50 and up. With limited product and lines to wait in, pharmacies just don't seem that convenient. Doesn't mail order seem more appealing during those long winter months?

I speak from experience, that patients love mail order once they have experienced it with a good customer service oriented company.
