The Sage idea is to provide a fitness program for people who want to restore their quality of life through improved physical confidence. This weekly program includes classes in balance, conditioning, stretching and weight training. A couple examples of the many classes are: Tuesdays and Thursdays lessons in weighted workouts and stretches and Mondays and Wednesdays a Pilate's-like stretch, balance and fitball class. The activities are monitored carefully and begin with an assessment to better understand the physical fitness level of the client. They decide from this assessment how to begin the reconditioning.
The most enjoyable piece of this program is their nationally certified fitness instructor; Sheila Bellew who has been with the program since 1992. Sheila brings an enormous level of energy and enthusiasm unparalleled. She would like more individuals to pursue this commitment to a life-long goal of taking care of the body. Because of her passion and support the class grows monthly when people hear about the program through word of mouth. And once you begin - you're hooked! Hopefully more individuals will join these classes to return to activities at a greater level of strength and energy.
