Life is ever changing. Some changes are welcome, but others are not and are difficult to go through alone. Usually, it is helpful to talk about difficult times with someone who can support us and really listen. We can find much comfort in this. In addition, this process can stir and open our minds in creative ways that help us to ease our problems.

As we age, our support network of friends and family may not be as large as it once was. Sometimes, our friends and family may be too close to the problem to be objective listeners. The OASIS Person to Person program is designed to help people to get through difficult but normal situations, such as loss of a loved one, retiring, medical issues and loneliness. Person to Person can be there for you.

Person to Person volunteers are available to offer free, confidential, telephone support to people over the age of 50 in the San Antonio area. The volunteers have been carefully chosen for their natural gifts of empathy and listening skills. In addition, the volunteers continue to receive guidance and ongoing training by a mental health professional.

If you would like to receive the services of Person to Person, call 210-270-3456. If you need someone to listen, please call Person to Person today.
