Mississippi Senior Citizens: Did you know that in addition to your medical checkups, you need regular legal checkups?

Legal checkups insure that:

You have all of the legal documents that you need (a Will and/or a Trust, Powers of Attorney for finances and healthcare, Transfer on Death provisions, etc.) and that the documents are in good order
You have anticipated the future to the extent possible to protect both your assets and your person (financial and healthcare Powers of Attorney)
You have the proper beneficiaries designated --make sure that your beneficiaries have not predeceased you or have had some other circumstance occur that would make them less desirable
The most desirable ownership format is in place for your assets (joint tenancy, individual ownership with a transfer on death provision, trading authority or financial Power of Attorney)
You have an overall estate planning strategy and that your documents are in compliance with the current laws
