Imago Transitions
"Imago": "Transitions": Imago Transitions was founded in 2002 as an extension of its parent company: Happy Homes Management Services, Inc. Both companies were designed by Kathy Phinney, RN, CLC, to provide services for the Elderly, and Physically and Cognitively Challenged. Motivated by a commitment to help people during major life transitions, Kathy and the Imago Transitions Team combine clinical skills and extensive, world-wide travel proficiency to provide expert travel counsel, coordination, and support for Elders. Due to the shifting trends and mobility of our society, families are often separated, living in different areas of the country or even in other parts of the world. Jobs, education, and lifestyles take grown children away from the extended family. In the "Age of Communication", family units remains close emotionally, utilizing the telephone, email, and even "jet-setting" to stay in touch. But as parents age, a dear Grandmother is struck by Alzheimer's Disease, or a favorite Aunt is immobilized by a stroke, the need to manage care and to provide support necessitates the closure of geographical distance. In addition, the desire and motivation to witness and acknowledge major life transitions becomes imperative. Imago Transitions recognizes and responds to the need for collaboration, coordination, physical assistance, and companionship in the implementation of plans to "bring the family back together". These services may be valuable in other situations as well, for example: vacation getaways or a temporary visit for the holidays. The practical services we offer may include coordination of travel arrangements, management of medications, incontinence, and mobility issues en route, and providing for emotional and psychological needs of the Client and Family. Though Imago Transitions is not designed to provide emergency medical transport, our unique services have proved to be of immense value to many families all over the world. We look forward to consulting with you to see how we may best meet the needs of you and your loved ones. |
