Relocation for Families and Aging ParentsArticle submitted by Sally Allen, founder of A Place for Everything. Moving is not about boxes – It's about people! Sally Allen, founder of A Place for Everything, developed her organizational skills from personal experience: raising a family of five while moving 19 times, both domestic and international. Sally's professional career includes working for the 1984 Olympic Committee and the 1996 Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games while maintaining a career with Marriott International Hotels and Resorts. Both in Sally's own family and her extended family and friends, she started to see the difficulty facing families and aging parents when faced with a move, often from a home of decades. She realized that the skills and knowledge she had developed while raising and moving her family and working in the hospitality industry were valuable to aging parents and their families in dealing with the trauma of relocating. Sally's vision of A Place for Everything is the ability to create a plan that is just for you and your loved ones.
